New ambassadors to Germany and China (2)

Chem Widhya, currently head of the Permanent Mission of Cambodia to the United Nations, has been appointed ambassador to Germany, replacing Keo Puth Rasmey, the newly installed Funcinpec president. Besides, Ms Khek Sisoda, until recently protocol director of the Royal Palace, has been appointed ambassador to China, replacing her brother-in-law Khek Lerang.

370,000 additional jobless people in 2007 (2)

According to statistics from the Interior Ministry, 402,744 persons will reach next year the age of 18 (KI, 25 November 2006: "Over 400,000 first-time voters in 2007"). Since there are no more than 30,000 jobs created every year, there will be some 370,000 additional jobless people in 2007. This explains why the government is so eager to implement the newly adopted conscription law.

If The Hun Sen's government wants to change their image and improve their relation with Khmers people, they need to appoint the new UN Embassador from The Sam Rainsey's party.

Others Khmers' parties do have decent people that can do the job. Why must all important position come from only the same ruling party?
