Love of Cognac Wins Ministry Employee Trip to US

A cognac aficionado and employee of the Ministry of Finance has won the trip of his dreams—an all expenses paid week for two in New York City.
Reth Phyrum said that all he had to do to win the New York trip was drink six 1-liter bottles of the popular liquor, which allowed him to enter the Hennessy Cognac's "Bring Your Dream to Life!" contest.
Anyone who purchased a bottle of Hennessy between Aug 26 and Nov 25 could enter the competition, as long as there was proof of purchase registered in either Phnom Penh, Pailin, Sihanoukvilie, Battambang, Siem Reap, Banteay Meanchey, Kampot, Koh Kong, or Kompong Cham province.
"I only heard from people that New York is a great city. Now my dream has come true," Reth Phyrum said by phone Thursday.
Hong Yew Zin, trade-marketing manager for Attwood Import-Export Co, Ltd, which organized the event said that Reth Phyrum's name was randomly chosen out of 10,000 entrants who were in the running for two airline tickets, a week of paid accommodation, and $1,000 in spending money.
Though there were entrants from the provinces for the competition, cognac drinkers are, like Reth Phyrum, most heavily concentrated in Phnom Penh, Hong Yew Zin said.
"Cambodians who purchase Hennessy cognac are mainly government officers and middle class [people]," he added.

Moron, you would do anything for money, hah? 6 Litre of Etoh binging would killed most people, you are lucky to still be walking.
Wow! One can add Binge Drinking to the officials's besides CORRUPTIONS. That's a way to set an example for Cambodia.
