RCAF Official Accused of Land-Grabbing Removed

An RCAF border protection commander in Banteay Meanchey province has been removed from his position for allegedly selling disputed border territory to Cambodian villages and sparking a diplomatic incident with Thailand, RCAF officials said Thursday.
Commander Khuon Vanna was removed Tuesday, said Tim Sareth deputy chief of the RCAF northwest military border coordination office.
"He caused too many problems, we don't want confrontations with Thailand," Tun Sareth said by telephone. "He measured the land and sold it to villagers.... Villagers didn't understand where the border line was," he said.
Some 300 Thai soldiers tore down seven wooden houses built in the disputed zone in Nov 29, witnesses said, prompting recriminations on the part of Cambodian officials who claimed Thailand had acted without consulting them. The disputed area borders Cambodia's O'Chrou district.
"The Thais just came, they were afraid of losing the land," Tim Sareth said of the soldiers.
Tim Sareth said the Thai military had overreacted in dismantling the wooden houses. But he added that Khuon Vanna, who lost both legs, an arm and an eye in combat during Cambodia's civil war, is an irascible man who was generally combative with Thai officials.
Khuon Vanna did not answer repeated phone calls seeking comment.
Thai Embassy First Secretary Songchai Chaipatiyut said he had not been informed about the firing of the RCAF commander. He said he was still waiting for the results of an official Thai military investigation of the incident. The two governments are committed to good relations, he said.

Why letting Thai soldiers trespassing into Cambodia? The incompetence of the CPP. Ah! Sen does not bark against Ah! Thai or Ah! Youn who violate the Khmer territory. If you don't stand tough and showing you are on guard defending your people, the Thai soldiers or any neighbors country will look down on our Nation and Cambodia Kingdom. Those Thai soldiers used to mistreat Khmer Refugee very badly. They had raped Cambodian girls, killing khmer,beating khmer in the refugee Camp. Never taking blame or blame each other in front of Thai.

This is so unbelievable! This is fucken outrageous! To take out a Cambodian army general KHUON VANNA for standing up to the fucken Thai, the bully?! So what is the fucken point does AH HUN SEN is trying to make? Oh well! AH HUN SEN himself is a fucken bully and he had done horrible thing on Cambodian people over the years and AH HUN SEN is only inviting other bully in the neighborhood to have fun with dirt poor helpless Cambodian people!
What does AH TIM SARETH know about the Fucken Thai? The Fucken Thai had been taking Cambodian land since the begining of time and AH TIM SARETH dare to justify that the Fucken Thai are afraid of losing the land?
