Sok Serei injured in traffic accident

By Radio Free Asia
Translated from Khmer by Socheata

RFA thanks its listeners who expressed their concerns about our reporter, Sok Serei.

Our listeners already knew that Mr. Sok Serei and his daughter were injured in a traffic accident on 14 December 2006. Sok Serei was seriously injured, but his condition has already improved.

RFA is reporting your good intentions and your concerns to Mr. Serei and his family.

RFA and other institutions had asked the Cambodian government to properly investigate this traffic accident which caused Mr. Serei and his daughter to fall from the motorcycle. Mr. Sok Serei’s daughter is only lightly injured.

RFA hopes that very soon, Mr. Sok Serei will be able to return back to work as normal.

For our listeners who wish to donate funds for the cost of medical care for Mr. Sok Serei, please contact his family directly.

KI-Media Note: Unfortunately, RFA did not provide any information on how to contact Mr. Sok Serei's family.

I am so sorry to hear this news happened to Bang Sok Serei who is the fearless and able reporter.

Why is RFA so quiet about this?? RFA should have done more to help him.

It is not reasonable enough at all for RFA to publsh the news as read in KI. How can people help him without any detail contact???
