15 fully armed black uniform Thai soldiers had entered the disputed Cambodian-Thai border zone in Tuol Prasat village, Poi Pet commune, O Chrov district, Banteay Meanchey province for the second time on Friday, at noon time, according to Cambodian border police and soldiers.
Chhouk Ang, border defense police commander along Cambodia northwest, indicated that: “There were 15 of them, each of the 15 armed [who came], we did not let them in. We did not allow them in, they came to see for a short moment and we told them to leave.”
The new entrance on Cambodian territories by the black uniform Thai soldiers did not cause any clash, even though on the Cambodian side, more than 200 police officers and soldiers are stationed in the disputed zone. Cambodian police and soldier officials claimed that the Thai soldiers had contacted them in advance before entering the disputed zone the second time.
Nevertheless, the Cambodian side had agreed to remove the 2 remaining homes in the disputed border zone today. RFA could not yet contact the Thai defense border force to ask for clarification.
Khieu Kanharith, the government spokesman, told RFA over the phone on Friday afternoon that the origin of the Thai soldier aggression was caused by the Cambodian side not respecting the agreement between the two parties to preserve the area located between the 48 and the 49-kilometer markers as a white zone (no man’s land). According to Khieu Kanharith, some Cambodian [high ranking] army officials had incited Cambodian population to build homes in this area so that these officials can grab other pieces of land for themselves to sell when the land price increases. On the Thai side of this white zone, on the other shore of the water stream, Thailand did not allow any construction.
Khieu Kanharith said: “On our side, we are a lot of bad people, they see that this area will be valuable. But they have to think that we are wrong…”
Nevertheless, Khieu Kanhrarith is blaming the Thai soldiers of taking actions inside Cambodia without any prior discussions or informing the Cambodian side beforehand.

Regardless if the Thais are right or wrong, they showed complete disrespect by violating our sovereignty. They did not communicate, nor warn our people before burning down their home.
What the fuck are you saying Khieu Kanharith? The coward thai are always remove the borders markers into Cambodian side. Even what we are wrong they should inform us before they crossed to cambodia. Border between Thailand and Vietname are always shrinking. They keep moving in our land.

When those Thai soldiers come inside Cambodia territories Why khmer soldiers do not kill them? You don't have to wait until they come deep insde in our territories. One meter inside Cambodia border zone is enought for our Cambodian border-guard have the rigth to short them. Why Cambodia government allow those terrorist come inside our territories to burn our khmer people home? Why Mr Hun Sen don't use armforce to defend Cambodia and his people?
