After Khieu Kanharith's (Dr. Spin) denial, now comes Hor Nam Hong's turn to deny

Cambodia denies reports Thai bomb chemicals originated there

DPA

Phnom Penh - Cambodian Foreign Minister Hor Namhong said Monday that the chemicals used in the Bangkok New Year's Eve bombings had absolutely not originated in Cambodia, saying that the Thai government had also not backed the claims.

The minister was speaking after a signing ceremony with Japan at the ministry presided over by Prime Minister Hun Sen.

His comments rebutted an Australian newspaper claim that a Thai security agency official had said the Jemaah Islamiah (JI) terrorist group had bought chemicals in Cambodia to make the bombs for the New Year's Eve explosions that killed three and injured at least 40 people.

'I would like to deny this news. This is not true ... The Thai government has not accused Cambodia so we have no reaction to the Thai government,' Hor Namhong told reporters.

On Sunday, Interior Ministry spokesman Khieu Sopheak also dismissed the claims as false in an interview broadcast on Voice of America. He was not available for comment Monday.

Leading Cambodian daily newspaper Rasmei Kampuchea had quoted The Australian heavily in a front-page story Sunday, noting a 2002 raid on a school outside the capital in which an Egyptian, two Thai Muslims and a Cambodian Muslim were arrested and charged with links to Jemaah Islamiah (JI).

The Egyptian was later released but the other men were jailed after being convicted of plotting to bomb the British and US embassies in Phnom Penh on direct instructions from accused 2002 Bali Bombing mastermind Hambali, who was also convicted in absentia.

In recent months Cambodia has been praised repeatedly by US government officials for its strong action and apparent success in controling and combating potential terrorist activities within its borders.

Ahh, cut the BullShit, if anyone
know where the source is, just tell
us, and we will killed it. Isn't
that simple? I don't think we can
win war against terrorists with
accusations, blames, and fingers
pointing. Do ya?

Bravo Khieu Kanharith and Hor Namhong!!! Why the Thais are quick to pointing fingers at us with anything bad? If the explosive materials were from Cambodia, they were prabably smuggled from other countries through Thailand. I don't think Cambodia has the means or technical "know how" to produce such materials.

That is just a bad habbit of the
past. I mean pointing finger. Don't
make a big deal out of it because
it can only get worse. It will
take us some time to learn to work
together more effectively.
However, for this to work, we must
not tolerate any racist.

Don't worry, soon everyone will be
a happy family, just like old time.

Biggest Terrorists supplier is Cambodia's CPP government officials under the hope to be 90 years old leader PM Hun Sen. While they lip services Anti-terrorist to arrest it's oppositions e.g SRP, Heng Pov they also do special dealing with Terrorist groups... Tamal Tiger...Heng Pov can't reveal the truth because he already dead..! Just ask Malaysia..?
