A Vietnamese diplomat based in Cambodia and his wife were assaulted Thursday by the staff of a Ho Chi Minh City restaurant following an argument.
Counselor To Minh Duc and his wife went to the Minh Duc restaurant in district 1 for lunch. Duc asked for a dish to be changed but the staff reportedly not only refused and also abused the couple, sparking a row.
Soon several employees led by the restaurant owner arrived and began to beat them up.
It took intervention by other customers to enable the couple to escape.
They were going to a police station when Duc’s wife suddenly passed out. She was taken to Cho Ray hospital where doctors discovered she had head and back injuries.
The police summoned three employees from the restaurant the same day to collect their statements. They said they were investigating the case.

Vietnam has too many ethnic groups (~12), and those groups were coming from different dynasties.
Vassal then annexed by China since before Christ (BC) and after Christ. Because of that eg., Trinh and Nguyen who came from different dynasties, how could they like each other? Regardless Vietnam is still a tributary to China. Recently Vietnam just ceded land to China, otherwise no peace.
