Dozens of bicycle riders Monday finish their cycling initiative tour around Tonle Sap, to educate Cambodians about the preservation and enhancement of the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia.

Cyclists composed of local and international organization personnel start their 9-day trek in Phnom Penh crossing the country’s 7 provinces.

The Center of Study and Agricultural Development of Cambodia's director, Yang Sang Koma says that although two of his staff sustained injuries, he is very proud of their accomplishments.

Tonle Sap is one of the most productive inland fisheries in the world, supporting over 3 million people and providing over 75% of Cambodia's annual inland fish catch and 60% of the Cambodians' protein intake.
