Mr. Sacrava, as a regular reader of KI media, i sometimes think your portrayal of things are a bit to exaggerated, but then again, that's why they call them political cartoons.
But it seems you really give former king an unfair representation. I believe king deserve some respect and not be portrayed as a dog like the cartoon. I believe that be degrading khmer king, it also like degrading khmer culture because to many, he represent father figure and protector of khmer ways of life.
I think for sake of unity, within khmer people, the cartoons should take some consideration to that, the huge of Khmer people also respect former king.
Lok Pu Sacrava has just ilustrated what a reality happened in the past through cartoons. it is good to let the young generation know what happened in the past so that the bad things will not happen again and again. Revealing a reality is a good thing and that you call Freedom of expression!

I agreed for the sack of unity, we should tone down the insult of the king. The king himself needs to tone down his nonsense in order to get respect.
I know the king had made some big mistakes in his political career which had greatly impacted our lives and the lives of our future children. Especially when the king sided with the Khmer Rouge to draw the opposition against the Lon Nol regime who started a coup with the help by the American. I think that was the tipping point for Cambodia from a nation of peace, wealth, education, respect to a nation of war, ruthless and suffering.
It was the POWER GREED by Lon Nol, then the fomer king that led to the Khmer Rouge's succession and consequently 2 millions of our brightest died out of the then 7.5 millions population. After the collapse of the KR, the rest of the survivals came mentally sick or out of norm. We don't realize but most of us Cambodians today are mentally sick. I beg for your patience to each other. It is priceless how much damage the the Khmer Rouge had done to Cambodia. There is immeasurable amount of money that will bring us back to where it was as people and nation.
The lesson of POWER GREED that led us to the destructions have not been learned yet by many of our slow leaders today. Hun Sen is the prime example of the POWER GREED leader. He has been a prime minister since 1984, first was installed by the Vietnamese occupier, then lost the vote in 1993 but threaten to be violent, with the former kind's interference got the prime minister power sharing with Rannaridh. But the power sharing did not last long, in 1997 Hun Sen started a coup against Ranaridh for the sole power. The election in 2003 was not problem free either; the result did not allow CPP/HUN SEN party to solely run the government. Thus his party was forced to compromise in order for the government to be formed. It took about a year before the country had a government with all kinds of political maneuver. HUN SEN being the man in charge with major seats in national assembly. Laws were amended sometimes laws were broken to make sure he is in power. Just recently he declared he will be the prime minister until he is 90 years old. This is what I call POWER GREED. With power there comes greed. With this kind of greed, I fear Cambodia will return to where it was in 70s of the Khmer Rouge time and the 80s of the Vietnamese occupier.
Sihanouk never respect anyone....Why he deserve to having a respect ?

I respect people by their noble Acts...nor their Class or Hight position ?

Sihanouk & Hun Sen has a lot things in common. The different between them are their class : a Royal family & a Peasant family.
Hun Sen & Sihanouk had a unique Dream to rule Cambodia forever !

Was General Dap Choun and those men who dissappeared during the reign of King before 1970 all wrong doing? Distrust and pure accusation was more to us.
President Lon Nol perhaps took great symphathy on them and did anyone ever take notice of his determination? It surely was 10,000 times more than General DC and all those men. The only person who took true notice was King, but what can he do? His plane will be shut down, if he would dare land it in Cambodia after March 18th of 1970.
