PHNOM PENH, Cambodia - Peace Corps volunteers were flying to Cambodia Friday to teach English at rural schools, marking the 45-year-old organization's first mission in the Southeast Asian country, officials said.

The group of 30 volunteers was set to arrive Friday evening in the capital, Phnom Penh.

They will spend their first few months studying Cambodia's Khmer language and the country's culture before spreading out to provincial villages in April, the U.S. Embassy said in a statement issued Thursday.

"We are enthusiastic about this opportunity to build lasting friendships and a mutual understanding with the people of Cambodia," Peace Corps Director Ron Tschetter said in a statement.

Cambodia is the 139th country to receive a mission from the Peace Corps, which has about 7,500 volunteers in 73 nations. Before Cambodia, the last to be added to the list was Mexico in 2004.

Good news for our Cambodian People and bad news for The France. Look around the world any countries which used to be under France vs. under Englo influence, you can see that the France influence those countries are corrupt, un-educate, selfishness, brown noses, problems..problems! why? Because she learns from the Teacher, France!.

Fuck France!

Wrong, it is the other way arround.

Moreover, the French has restored
Vietnam as they found it when they
left Vietnam, and it is 100%
correct and perfectly legal, and
there is nothing KK Extremists can
do about it. Stop crying, fools.

The more Khmers can speak English the better! Cambodian newspapers say little about fact. Leave it to English language and learn how to read it folks. You will unlock your mystery now and forever.

Hmm... that is quite a vagued
comment. As far as I know, we don't
have any mistery to unlock. Hence,
I don't see how English paper will
help us. However, I do agree that
it may help Ethiopians tics and
fleas who lived as a fugitive
abroad and have been brainswasthed
by Duke/Havard/.../or Yale, yeah.
