50 people had food poisoning at a banquet following a meeting of CPP members in Malay district, Banteay Meanchey province on 12 March 2007. The Rasmei Kampuchea newspaper reported that about 150 CPP members have gathered for a party meeting in Balaing village, Ta Kong commune, Malay district, Banteay Meanchey province. After the meeting, a banquet was held where noodle was served. After eating, 50 people threw up, had fever, and became dizzy. Up to now, it is not yet known whether it was the noodle or the vegetable which caused the poisoning. The meeting was participated by Tep Khun Nal, the Malay district chief (and current husband of Pol Pot’s former wife), and Keo Rin, the Ta Kong commune chief.

Not only they CPP assist in land grabbing now they are trying a different approach that is to kill loyal members.....isnt that great..once again the cheap cheating method of buying people vote with noodle is slowly dieing away.

It goes to show how shit the CPP government is in term of food safeyly regulations, testing and inspections. This people should demand/sue the CPP government for compensations.
Folks, there are other possibilities such as e-coli bacteria. Remember a few hundred people got very sick and some died from eating spinach?
And another is the spoiled canned food sold to Khmers by Siam and Yuan. Most of them're old and expired. This is very dangerous to
the health of the poor Khmer people. Since the leaders are uneducated peasants and too cruel and ignorant, all Khmers at oversea have to inform this to WHO before to late.
