Thanh Nien News (Hanoi)
She’s been in a Ho Chi Minh City hospital for one month, and Cambodian pop star and TV host Pov Panha Pich can speak and move her arms and legs, after a shooting nearly took her life.
She was shot inexplicably as she arrived at an English school in Phnom Penh. Authorities say the motive for the shooting is not known, and the attack is under investigation.
The 23-year-old singer was transferred immediately to Cho Ray Hospital from Phnom Penh’s Calmette hospital for further treatment, after being shot twice in the neck and torso Feb. 23.
Doctors said her condition is improving, and that she could whisper to speak to those around her.
Fame has its corner
The shooting is the latest in a series of unsolved attacks on Cambodian singers and actresses in recent years.
In October 2003, popular Cambodian singer Tuch Sunnich was seriously wounded and her mother killed in a broad daylight after a shooting in Phnom Penh.
She was sent to the US for treatment and now lives there, but was left paralyzed from the incident. Her attackers remain at large.
In July 1999, unidentified gunmen shot famous actress and traditional dancer Piseth Peaklica while she was shopping in a Phnom Penh market. She died days after.
Once again, there were no arrests in the case.

We have never arrested the perpetrators because the perpetrators are the arrestors...
I agree with you. Mr. Hun Sen always says that he has intelligence/agent everywhere, even an aunt can not hide from him, but how can a perpetrator in the middle of the city escape? What does strong man mean?
We should know by now that Mr. Strongman can brag about anything and deliver nothing. We knew that his wife, Bun Rany, ordered the killing of Piseth Pilika, who didn't die immediately so the CPP surgeons and doctors at Calmette Hospital finished her off after receiving that special phone call.
Mr. Strongman ordered his brother-in-law, Neth Savoeun, to investigate the shooting. Is the perpetrator serving time in jail now? The last time we checked, the investigation was still ongoing at the karaoke parlour, where Neth Savoeun and his friends were strip-searching the hostesses. That's how hard they work on such a murder case.
This is Cleo. I'm reading that you might not find who the real killer was, because the real killer did not finish her as planned; and therefore, his life may have already been taken by the mastermind to destroy the evidence.
I also see that if you insist of wanting to find justice for this individual victim, you have to go to KE KIM YAN. My reading says he may have some connection. But! The reading says, "YOU MUST BE CAREFULL!"
things will change after rain and the open blue clear sky, I mean one day Hun Sen and his fellowers dog will be killed or fall down from their power soon.
