Double accident whammy

Kandal Province – A man died on the spot while driving his motorcycle which was hit from behind by a car. The car fled the scene and was last seen driving towards Takhmao district. The body of the dead man was then transported by tuk-tuk to his home. On the way, the tul-tuk transporting the dead body was hit by another car. Fortunately for the tuk-tuk driver, he only sustained light injuries. The first accident took place at 7:10 PM on 24 March along National Road 21, close to the entrance gate to Prek Thmei village, Roka Khpous commune, Sa’ang district, Kandal province.

The police authority revealed that the dead victim’s name is 31-year-old Yong Yeng, living in Peam Sala village, Sa’ang Phnom commune, Sa’ang district, Kandal province. He is a farmer. During the accident, his motorcycle was heavily damage. The car involved in the accident, as well as its driver, are unknown because the car fled the scene of accident and disappeared on the way to Takhmao district.
