All Things Considered, February 28, 2007 · There is uncertainty surrounding the Khmer Rouge trial now that the United Nations and Cambodia are having trouble agreeing on a number of things that should have been resolved a while ago.
Some agencies say this is another case of political manipulation and foot-dragging on the part of the Cambodian government.
But if the questions aren't resolved, there is a chance that the U.N. might walk out — and that justice that has eluded the regime's victims for 30 years will continue to do so.

Khmer Rouge's trial in Cambodia is just a myth, a political oriented trial and an instrument of Vietnam to legitimize its invasion, influence and occupation in Cambodia.
The debate for our young generation is about:
1. Which one is more important between the invasion of Vietnam and the ignorant leading of the KR?
- present situation, KR is already powerless and dead...so all Khmers still happy with Vietnam's invasion or forgive the dead KR?
Answer the question, please Khmer compatriots!
If the trial take place and the court hang Khiev Samphan and Nuon Chea like Saddam (the book is close) than Vietnam, China, Russian and US get a clean hands. Cambodian did not manufacture Gun, Bomb and all those killing machine. Darker skin
alway wrong.

Good question
As you said KR regime is already over, so it is not really that important to make it the priority.
The problem right now is the border problem that we are losing little by litter everyday that we don't know. According to our history our leader used to be under influence of VN. And the history is repeating. In the next 50 years when we look back into history we might see that current government is under VN control.
Corruption, economic, culture and many other problems need to be addressed too. So the problems are coming from the Government. What would we do if we want to deal with the problems or stop it from taking place? Someone said, "Change the government or at least its leader!"
It's all up to Ah one eye Hun Khvang about Khmer Rouge's trial if he wanted to. There is no hope at all for the victims to have this happen, it's ridiculous.
It was part of the CPP/ ah Hun Sen planned from the beginning ..that's what happened when you have former KR in government..why would they want the trail to good ahead...they will caused delayed until they all died..then they will have a trail in absent like they did with Heng Pov and many others.
Nope, we did not caused any delay.
it is the corrupted UN that caused
the delay. What is the big deal?
All the UN has to do is to follow
our superior khmer laws and we are
on our way decade ago. Remember,
this is Cambodia, not US, AU, UK,
... or France. Their stupid and
worthless law don't count here.
11:46 AM Hahaha...I am vomitting you praise Cambodian law...hahahaha, I do respect Cambodian's sovereignty as superior, but Cambodia law and court system is just in mouth and grip of Hun Sen...
Do you agree with me?
Nope, but to be realistic, at best,
I say the court is in favor of Hun
Sen because Hun Sen liberated
the country from the brutal Khmer
Rouge Regime and saved millions of
Khmer lives, including most judges
and their families. Thus, I won't
challenged PM to any dispute in
court. I hope you can tell the
difference between HS gripping and
the court volunteering favoritism.
And that happened everywhere if
you care to dig into it.
If Cambodian three institutions: executive, judiciary and parliamentary are independent, it should lever the court standard in an believable stage...but in reality Hun Sen performs all positions including as a Judge, a Lawyer and a Law Expert...we can observe through his speech commanded arrest this, jail that and summon this...etc
Get real, Dude, you are living
in the textbook. Come out and smell
the air, the flower, and the
pollution as well.
And you are living in Viet ass. can not come out you are parasite.
let stop this nonesence trail, take the momey back to help poor people somewhere else in the world.
We tired to live as slave to Hun Sen group. go home your fake democracy lover!
7:28 PM
The air's smell of corruption and the flower of injustice..
But good that you accept polution in Cambodia.
Yes, but pollutions are everywhere,
and it tent to be more disgusting
in poor neighborhoods. Get it?
