Vietnam firm grows industrial crops in Laos, Cambodia

Vietnam’s Daklak Rubber Co. has kicked off plantation projects in Laos and Cambodia under cooperation programs signed between the governments of Vietnam and the two neighboring countries.
One of them is a US$32 million project to plant over 10,000 ha of rubber trees, and thousands of hectares of cashew, coffee, and cocoa in Laos’s Champasak and Salavan provinces.
In 2005-06 the company had invested $6.25 million to grow over 4,000 ha of cash crops, including 3,200 ha of rubber trees, in the two provinces.
In Cambodia, the company has grown 1,000 ha of rubber trees and 10,000 ha of cashew and cassava in Mondulkiri province. It plans to grow an additional 300 hectares of rubber trees this year.

Very dangerous and stupid policy of Hun Sen. Additional treaty uproar has not quitened down properly yet, now they handed over another piece of land to the yun. What will happen in 100 years from now ? Another Saigon ? Especially land adjacent to the yuon border is so easy for the yuon to claim as theirs in the future. How dumb one can be ? Well, this is when a govt is run by yuon dogs.

During the French colonism Cambodia is a place to extract raw materials to ship back to France and turn those raw materials into all kinds of products and the French sell those products back to Cambodian people!!
