Prince Ranariddh: Cambodia has 3 political poles

After opposition leader Sam Rainsy said that there are [only] two political poles in Cambodia [currently]: his SRP party and the CPP party, Prince Norodom Ranariddh reacted from France to dispute Sam Rainsy’s claim. Prince Ranariddh said that he and his party still have influence in the Cambodian political arena as usual. The prince told Radio France Internationale (RFI) that people is trying to assassinate him not just physically but also politically, however, this attempt is not successful because the election results show that his fledgling NRP still receive votes. He added that in the Cambodian political arena, there are three clear parties: the CPP, the SRP, and the NRP. The prince said that if the results of election obtained by the NRP is added to that of Funcinpec, the NRP did not lose much [popular] votes in comparison to what he obtained in 2002, however because of the low number of votes each of the two parties received, they both lost several seats in comparison to 2002.

and we all know the city has been
pro-SRP since day1, but luckly for
the SRP, the FUNCINPEC is weak
at the moment and allowed them to
grab most of their voters;

the FUNCIPEC not broken up.
