Chea Mony, President of the Free Trade Union of Workers in the Kingdom of Cambodia (FTUWKC), is confident that the two men jailed in 2004 after being accused of killing Chea Vichea, the former FTU President, would be released after the appeal court will hold its hearing in the case this Friday. Chea Mony who is the younger brother of Chea Vichea, told The Cambodia Daily that he has strong confidence that the two men jailed, Born Samnang and Sok Sam Oeun, will be released because the pair are not involved in the murder of his brother. Chea Mony said that there are more than enough proof to guarantee the release of the pair. The Phnom Penh municipal court sentenced Born Samnang and Sok Sam Oeun to 20-year jail time each in August 2005.
