So the former king of Cambodia needs foreign bodyguards when he visits the country?
The bodyguards are gifts from the King's former intimate friend, Kim Il-sung, who was the N Korea leader at the time. He (Kim) also built a luxurious villa for the King in Pyongyang.
Every politician in any country needs bodyguards, whether they like it or not. Look at Bush, Merkel, Chirac, ...etc. Cambodia is no different, and in fact, it is more so, because of the volatile political situation over there.

not logical for Somdach Euv to
stay in a hotel. However, I don't
