Vietnamese top legislator kicks off visit to Laos, Cambodia
Nguyen Phu Trong, Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam, left Monday morning for official trips to Laos and Cambodia.
Trong is to visit Laos from April 23 to 25 at the invitation of President of the National Assembly of Laos Thongsing Thammavong, and tour Cambodia from April 26 to 28 at the invitation of the country's top legislator Heng Samrin.
The Vietnamese top legislator is scheduled to hold talks with his Lao and Cambodian counterparts, respectively, to discuss measures to consolidate and strengthen their friendly and all- round cooperative relations, and other issues of common concern.
