Cambodian monks injured in protest

At least three Cambodian Buddhist monks have been injured during a protest on Friday against Vietnam, which they accuse of suppressing the religious rights of its Cambodian minority.
A group of 40 monks tried to deliver a letter to the Vietnamese embassy calling for the release of three jailed Cambodian monks but were forced away from the compound by 200 riot police.
Scuffles ensued when they took their protest first to the royal palace, then the US embassy.
"We should not have been hit just because we held a peace march and wanted to deliver a protest letter," said Lim Yuth, 23, who suffered a head injury.
Two other monks suffered injuries after pro-government protesters pelted them with bottles and rocks, Ou Virak, head of the Cambodian Centre for Human Rights, said.
The protest was timed five days ahead a visit by the head of Vietnam's national assembly.
Vietnam denies accusations by rights groups that it represses human rights and religious freedoms. The government has an official policy of a citizen's rights to "belief or non-belief".

This is outrageous! Cambodian monks fight and spilled their blood with one another just to please the Vietcong master??? It disgusts me enough to see khmers fighting khmers, but it disgusts me even more to see khmer monks fighting khmer monks. Were these fools paid to turn against each other? If even our monks lack the respect and morals, then what can we expect from ordinary khmers. I am sick to my stomach. This is despicable! This is why our nation is weak. We cannot stop fighting amongst each other. When will we all wake up and unite as ONE? I am proud and love being khmer, but sometimes I can't help but feel ashamed and embarassed because of stupid things like this. May GOD help unite us!

Common sense tells us, that monks
have compassion on the suffering
2. Khmer Krom monks march on behalf of the persecuted,
Common sense tells us, that monks are the protector and passer of religion and culture wisdom
3. Khmer Krom monks march so that they may still be able to do that for Khmer culture in Vietnam,
So, here Common sense, clearly show to us, that these provocating monks,
have respected or follow any of the three principles up there, where does that leave us in Common sense?
Those who provoke the peace of the monk, and the peace of religion, are not monks. They are citizens in disguise sent to disrupt the good works of self sacrificing Khmer.
These are political pawns. They are not monks. They have gone against everything a monk stands for.
Why do you still believe they are monk? Like i said, there is a propaganda by some people to discredit Khmer Buddhism, and what better way to that then to show a bunch of monk fighting each other? How can you get a bunch of monk to fight each other? You get a Khmer who loves money for then their freedom and disguise them in religious robe. Mission accomplished.
But Khmer people are smarter then that. We know the truth. We no the covert tactics that have been employed on us for centuries.
