On April 17, 1975, from Beijing (PRC), I sent to H.E. Khieu Samphan a congratulation and admiration message on the occasion of the very large victory of our heroic and “glorious” FAPLNC (Cambodia National Liberation Popular Armed Forces) in Phnom Penh and [I] express (to the Khmer Rouge who now [occupies] State Power) my desire to return without delay to our Country in order to live there among the Nation and the Khmer People.
Now, it is our People that the K Rouge wanted and want, at all cost, to detach from me and from our Monarchy.
I thus received from H.E. Khieu Samphan an official response in which there was in Phnom Penh a deadly “CONTAGION” which obliged (the K Rouge) to evacuate all the population of our capital to the countryside, and to ask me to delay “to later” my return to the Homeland.
In Kampuchea, the K Rouse continued murdering the Compatriots suspected of being “persistent Sihanoukist-Royalist,” at the head of whom was my admirable (in many regards) Son N. Naradipo.

you mean you are that naive and uninformed? what about the chinese intelligence all over the world? they didn't know what's going on either?
what about after you returned to Cambodia and the khmer rouge took you and your family on tour to the country side? you still didn't know then?

found out about the Khmer Rouge's
abuses and fought with the Chinese
for it. Why do you think he end up
in North Korea, huh? There is

the chinese fought back all the way to the end of 79 with the khmer rouge against the viets and then fled to thailand together with khmer rouge. It's in the chinese record. go read it. it's been translated. the chinese was in cambodia all along while the kR killed millions. god knows, the chinese are the ones that coach kr to murder khmer people. after all they know it so well under chairman Mao. if what you said is true, then all of them are fighting together to kill the khmer people. did the chinese tell you that? make sure to include somdach euv's brave fight in the history book because it's not in there right now. all the books say are that somdach euv, got used and tricked by the chinese, he got used by khmer rouge, and that he didn't speak out for his people.
to speak out against kr or the chinese would mean to speak out against his belief, communism, and be seen as ungrateful. and that would mean to bow down to the capitalist americans, who got rid of him.
what is a few millions dead khmers to him? as long as he wins the idiology game and he still got support from someone, cambodia and khmer people can go to hell.
somdach euv found out after the khmer rouge did not let him rule the country again and kicked him back to china. that's when he began to speak out. he was pissed because he helped the kr so much and now kr only wants him in the house. otherwise, no one spoke out. and certainly, no one really care about khmer people or the destruction of Cambodia.
the international community is chicken shit. since when, did the european or anyone else step up to the plate. who helped france, germany, japan, and europe after wwII?
only the usa will step. the usa did not step up in Cambodia's case because it has just gotten its' butt kicked by the viets. that's why. also the us did not want to give credit to samdach euv and have him return to cambodia as a big hero with his nose in the air. what a coward.

question why he chose to live in

whatever the case, that made somdach euv did what he did, he was still a lousy leader, he still made the wrong decisions, he still lended a hand to the khmer roughe, and still cambodia and khmer people were not on his priority list.
why did i say that? because north korea is also a communist state and he later on went back kow towing at the chinese and pol pot too. and don't tell me he kowtowed to the chinese so he can influence pol pot. so much for the lies. too little, too late.
now did he benefited from the kow tow? yes, he did. Did Cambodia or khmer people benefited? absolutely NOT. Both got destroyed.
he sacrificed Cambodia and khmer people to pol pot and the chinese in exchange for a tiny castle in beijing and french food.
so much for the brave and caring leader who sacrifice for his people and his country. talking about a courageous and visionary leader. that he ain't, sir.

if somdach really believed that the chinese are bad and that he has any conviction or caring for his poeple and country, he would have done something.

this sob still tried to cover up his cowardice. He wanted future khmer generation to praise and put him in pedestal as he and hun sen is doing now. They do not let khmer students learn about the event from 1970 to 1980.
This "trasak pha em" decendent is not khmer. He is the king in "ah kvak ah kven". He was to coward to let the monster even eat his one and only daughter as long as he can keep the throne. And, now a kvak saved the daughter and all khmer know the rest of the story.
I hope all those commented here have courage as khmers and not be cowards as this "trasak pha em" litter.
Courage to want to be an independent nation. Courage to want to live as a race among other race in the world including vietnamese.
If khmer loose out, it is not because vietnameses are smarter than khmers. But, may be because we continue to believe that others powers (international community)are obligated to save khmer race from disappearing.
Remember this, American, France and others could careless if khmer race vanished. As long as some one (vietnam) hold the region together the international community will be more happy. They are having a larger mass market to sell their goods. Khmer population is too small for them to deal with separately. So for the world, they rather deal with one big guy.
So, if you are khmers, you know that, you have a tough road ahead without even count the problem of the new vietnamese-khmers that populated a big part of the country. How are you going to distinguish who is khmer and who is not?
The longer you argue, the more vietnamese-khmers Sihanouk, hun sen and his clique help to produce. And that what they want you to do, argue and political parties. They even help you create parties if any khmer wish. These parties help to legitimize the vietnamesation, the border treatise and everything that hun sen's government is doing for vietnam. The parties are prop for the vietnamese show today.
We are so boring with The Murder Clique who always writes in French...to spoil the Cambodja history...again and again...
