The Cambodian prime minister called on monks to strictly follow the Buddhist discipline in order to strengthen the monk’s authority and the belief of Buddhism among the Cambodian population.
During a diploma distribution ceremony for graduating Buddhist monk students, at the Sihanoukreach Buddhist University and also to mark the start of the 2007-2008 school year at the Chaktokmouk conference hall in Phnom Penh on 14 May 2007, Hun Sen declared that if the monks want people to believe (in them), it all depends on the behaviors of the monks themselves.
Hun Sen added that even the king, or any high-ranking officials, when they meet ,onks, they have to pay respect to them, therefore, monks must do all they can so that this respect turns into actual worship.
Hun Sen said: “There must be peace in the mind, and the monks are the one who accomplish this task. Right now, there are direct TV programs that can be broadcasted, and it always make me wonder when they show the program on TVK, the TV (cameras) are on one side of the river bank, and the Chrauy Changvar is on the other side of the river. At that time, there was no development (in Chrauy Changvar) yet, there were still bushes, when (the program) starts, it shows 4-5 monks sitting and there were women sitting all around them watching the boat race. I am not accusing the monks, they came to watch the boat race, then the women have no place to sit, and these women sat near the monks, this cause confusion among the laypeople. So, I am not preventing or anything like that, but with their knowledge, they (monks) must obtain the confidence from the people, when they get this confidence, they can do anything they want.”
Hun Sen added that the reform in the Buddhist education must focus on 3 main points: a better education for the monks in order to strengthen their authority among the people, raise the bar for Buddhist education, and attract more monk students to come to school, and develop a modern framework for communication in the society.
Hun Sen said the government needs to recruit more people who are knowledgeable in Buddhist education, in order to put them into teaching. The government has the ability to recruit 5,000 more teachers, and among these, some will be designated to teach at the Buddhist schools, and the government will pay their salary just like it does for ordinary teachers.

If Hun Sen is really wanting to see the advancement of Buddhist practice in Cambodia, he has to support learned monks to become leaders, not those superstitious monks who can earn huge money from Sroch Tik or Prediction....
Especially, he has to encourage the law to have the election of supreme patriarch...not only one ignorant man.
I am really bothering that many national ceremonies including this Buddhist monk graduation is not presided by King, but by Hun Sen....he is really annoying the intellectuals of Cambodia.
ahhahhahahhahahhahahahah!
ahhahahhahahahahahhahaha!
ahhahahhahahahahahhahaha!
AH HUN SEN couldn't even teach his children and his nephew and now he want to teach Cambodian monks!!!
Those fool who can't put their idea into practice will have to teach!!!ahahhah
Ah shut the fuck up. I don't see
any major issue here so long we
don't copy Ah Khmer-Yuon monks.
Hun Sen should learn the 12 causes which bring a society to desaster. One of them which has said ;
-" If you are an ignorance and who want to be the king of the country, that is one of most desastrous causes." That means that if you haven't got a quality of a good leader and you are trying to be the leader, you country will be desastrous. Areak Prey
Another one has said;
-" If you have a good foods, you try to hid and eat that good foods by yourself, that is also one of the most desastrous causes. That means, you have power to make monies and you made all the monies for yourself and tried to pay little to your countrymen, that is very desastrous.
He must learn all dharma by himself first before he can start to teach others.
True, but Somdach Hun Sen is not
ignorant and he paid his people
according to the size of our
taxe revenue. As for people in
the public sector, they get pay
according to competion or supply
vs. demand. Right now I think you
make more working in the public
sector than government, and it will
get better and beter, faster and
faster, exponential as we move
along. No government can pay salary
to the public sector. They just
don't have the money.

everything backward and upside-down

SRP has never had mistake at all with Cambodian nation because he has never been a leader or government leader in this country....so we cannot prejudice to blame him...but those ignorant leaders are the causes...
Well, if the SRP didn't made any
mistake, they will win the 2008's
election without the need to call
