"Economic land concessions, as presently granted, have compromised and destroyed the livelihoods of rural communities in favor of the enrichment of a few connected to the political establishment"
PHNOM PENH, Cambodia: A senior U.N. envoy got a cold shoulder from all but one government official during his visit to discuss human rights in Cambodia, his office said Thursday.

Yash Ghai, the U.N. secretary-general's special representative for human rights in Cambodia, met with Sar Kheng, a deputy prime minister, during his three-day visit ending Thursday, the Cambodian office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights said in a statement.

The statement said Ghai regretted that "none of the other senior government officials he had hoped to meet were available to see him."

Ghai was in Cambodia to try to elicit official comments on a report he will be presenting to the Human Rights Commission next month.

He had asked for a meeting with Prime Minister Hun Sen — who last year angrily described him as "totally deranged."

Hun Sen lambasted Ghai after the U.N. envoy criticized the prime minister for concentrating too much power in his own hands, and the government for its poor human rights record.

Om Yentieng, a senior Hun Sen adviser and the head of the government's Human Rights Committee, said he was too busy to meet Ghai.

Om Yentieng also accused Ghai of being "irrational," and said his human rights reports often "trample" on his government's reputation.

"How can we reach out to shake his hand when he uses one hand to invite us in and the other to punch us?" Om Yentieng said.

The statement said that in his report Ghai will express deep concerns about land-grabbing by the powerful, and the government's land concessions given to business interests that have negatively affected many Cambodians, including ethnic minority groups.

"While welcoming Cambodia's economic growth, he warns that human rights and equity must not be sacrificed in the pursuit of growth," the statement said.

"Economic land concessions, as presently granted, have compromised and destroyed the livelihoods of rural communities in favor of the enrichment of a few connected to the political establishment," it said.

I can't believe it that the CPP have admitted all the wrong doing by refusing to clarify the accusation!

But, one can't expect more from the Communist State.

This CPP government activity in dealing with human rights abuses accusation and especially with important envoy of UN in Cambodia is not professional and intellectual.

Now, the world looks at Cambodia as the mafia state because those leaders don't greet special envoy of UN,the very respectful representative of the world. More than this, it doesn't affect bad to those few leaders only, but the long period of Cambodian country and her innocent people.

We can see the fruition and result of ignorant leadership in handling with some issuese that creates only bad reputation and damnation to the nation.

We don't forget that when Bill Clinton visited Cambodia, there were few low official leaders greeted him. But when Bill Clinton visited Vietnam, there were many elite state leaders greeted him. This is their smart international diplomatic action for the benefit of their nation.

With this same event, if any UN Envoy visits Vietnam, there will be hospital greeting and accompanying throughout the whole mission. They act like this, it doesn't mean that they love the envoy, but they hope for the good image of their country in the international stage.

Cambodian people seems like unfortunate to have few leaders who can damage their good image in the international stage.

The Khmer people don’t support
ah Psychopath prime minister Hun
Sen who is criminal against humanity
in Cambodia that Cambodians knows
very well ah Hun Sen and ah Hok Lun
Dy (lover of Hun Sen’s wife).

Futhermore, we demand the UN to envoy
the UN representatives to survey human
rights in Cambodia. No one in Cambodia
doesn’t know that ah Hun Sen is uneducated
and ill-bred person in Cambodia.

Ah psychopath Hun Sen (son of ah drunkard
Hun Neang) is obviously a chief of mafia,
and corrupted family who sow corruptions
and criminals in Camodia. He, former khmer
rouge, was appointed by Youn (Vietnam)
domination in 1984 as an uneducated prime
minister in Cambodia to serve youns in order
to kill 800,000 Cambodians during youn(vietnam)
domination 1979-1989 in Cambodia.

Here's a brief a history:

"Cambodia: ill-bred and criminal prime minister Hun Sen
Cambodia prime Minister, Hun Sen, is one of the criminal against humanity in the world after Saddam Hussein, former Iraqi president. He is a communist pro youn (vietnam) in Cambodia. Hun Sen has many Doctor degrees but all of them are artificial because Hun Sen is uneducated person, he don’t know any English word but he bought doctor degrees in order to threaten the stupid persons and to hide his uneducated personality. In South East Asia, there is only one as Hun Sen who is ignorant and barbarous. Cambodians are not surprised that an ignorant person is the same time barbarous especially Hun Sen.
