The United States praised Cambodia on Wednesday for making efforts to combat human trafficking, but urged it to go further by passing a comprehensive anti-trafficking law that has been in the drafting process for the past seven years.
The U.S. Embassy said in a statement that although some senior government officials are committed to anti-trafficking efforts, reports of other public officials' complicity in trafficking have limited the government's success in combating trafficking.
