The Cambodian Human Rights Action Committee (CHRAC) which regroups 22 organizations, expressed its concern about the demand made by the Cambodian representative at the UN.

CHRAC issued a joint statement where it expressed its concerns that the government may cancel its cooperation on human rights issue with the UN.

The human rights group stated that if the government does not cooperate with the UN Special Envoy on Human Rights in Cambodia, then the respect of human rights in Cambodia will be affected.

CHRAC calls on the International community, and the donor countries which plan to hold a meeting in Cambodia between 19-20 June, to pay attention on this issue by ensuring that the Cambodian government will continue and increase its cooperation with the UN Special Envoy on Human Rights, and that the government will start resolving all the human rights violation issues in Cambodia.

The Cambodian Ambassador to UN now Chhean Vun is not differents from Cambodian Ambassador during Pol Pot time ( Kiet Chhon ) who has always protected their own own killings and destruction regime toward Cambodian society now and before. They are being appointed by their bosses to represent their bosses agenda rather Cambodian interests in general. Areak Prey
