Khmer Kampuchea-Krom Federation (KKF) calls for demonstration against Nguyen Minh Triet's visit to the US

Protest Against Visit of Nguyen Minh Triet,
Communist President of Vietnam to Washington D.C

2007-06-07
Press Release

A peaceful demonstration is expected to be conducted at the White House and Vietnam Memorial Park starting at 10am – 2pm on Saturday June 16th 2007, Washington D.C.

The Khmer Kampuchea-Krom Federation peaceful demonstration will be jointly conducted with Montagnard Foundation to protest against the visit of Nguyen Minh Triet, Communist President of Vietnam to Washington D.C on 23rd June 2007.

We urge Mr. Bush and the Congress to take actions to stop the inhumane policies and practices of the Vietnamese government towards its indigenous peoples. Vietnam has and continues to enforce its religious policies towards the Khmer-Krom people by brutally beating and defrocking our Buddhist monks without legal cause.

Vietnam has systematically attempted to eradicate the Khmer-Krom people by continuing to deny their most basic human rights and fundamental freedoms such as freedom of speech, information, religious belief, peace, arbitrary arrest and imprisonment, the right fair trial by peers and most importantly, the freedom to live in dignity as a human being.

The government has empowered their authorities and its people to inhumanely treat the indigenous Khmer-Krom people and its minority peoples and to destroy ancient Buddhist temples and seize their lands and homes.

We urge the United States to act decisively, to ask the Communist government of Vietnam to stop the play of window dressing and effectively into practice the basic fundamental freedoms and rights as guaranteed by its constitution and international treaties. We also ask that the Vietnamese government to immediately release 5 disrobed Buddhist monks currently imprisonment for the mere act of conducting a peaceful demonstration on 8th February, 2007.

Respectfully yours,

Thach N. Thach

There is nothing for the KKF to be aware. They are a non-violent body of democratic minded people who believes in compassion and the dignity of human being for all people.

They don't have any links to liberation movements or radical groups. It will be unfortunate for those who say they fight for Khmer Krom to fight under Vang Pao's example, but KKF has proven themselves to be smart and approaches their goals with a humanistic approach.

Justice will side with KKF. Hanoi beware!

The white House prefers to invite Vietnamese leaders than the Khmer leaders with rotten names and background Like Hun Sen and his Co-maffias.
Al east Vietnamese leaders are their "best loyal ennemies"! Hun Sen is a Rogue Man that will never be allowed to step his feet on the White house.

Hun Sen had been to the US to meet
with President Bush about a year
ago. I am sure you can find some
picture on the Net.

It was not a formal or official meeting. It was a meeting at the UN Lobby.

youns (vietnamese) are the China's
ethnic people, so youns culture and
their old characteristic letters are the
same as those of Chinese

No wonder that the tradition of this Chinese
ethnic people(youns called by Chinese and by
Asians) is that :
- vietnamese men in any country, most
of them are thieves or robbers
- and vietnamese women in any country,
most of them are prostitutes

Khmer Krom ought to make the loudest protest ever defending rights and land and to make the world know they are oppressing our people and we wanted our torritory back. This is the perfect time and their vulnerable time to fight back against the Vietnamese oppression. Because their economy is growing rapidly through trades with the freeworld nations. If they do something stupid they will be embarassed and the whole world punish them economically and their economy will collapse.

Between Vietnam and Cambodia, which one US care more?

Vietnam has big land, islands, and soon 100 milllions.

That's why IMF gave more than 4 billion dollars compare to Cambodia less than a few hundred dollars.

Also, Vietnam is next to China, for strategical benefit, US and France try to satisfy Vietnam rather than Cambodia.

There is no justice.

hoo really US love communist hahhaa my ass

I don’t see how the IMF and UN can use Vietname to contain China with over a billion people! The IMF and UN can no longer continue to satisfy Vietname at the expense of Cambodia! Cambodia has no problem achieving 100 million in population!

Why are you guys arguing? Does it make you feel better yourself? Or solve any problems? There is a common goal here and that is to protest the arrival of the Communist President. The Vietnamese community protested yesterday(6/21/07) and (6/22). KKF will protest tomorrow. I would be a greater success if everyone would come together to protest together. Imagine the number to people there. Just imagine the message that you all together could have deliver.
