The court has decided to jail the son of a 2-star general who was charged with seduction and abduction of a 15-year-old girl, taking her to Malaysia and raping her 6 times there. The Rasmei Kampuchea newspaper reported that the Thou Chan Photra, the 18-year-old son of 2-star general Thou Tharith who worked at the Ministry of Defense and who was the former director of the Jan 79 hospital, seduced a young girl and took her to visit Malaysia with him, at the same time that he was sent to study in Malaysia. On 09 June, the young girl ran away from home to travel to Malaysia. When her parents learnt about it, they contacted the International police (Interpol?) which in cooperation with the Malaysian police brought back the young man to Phnom Penh by plane. He was met by police on 11 June. When questioned, the general’s son said that he seduced the young girl whom he had a long contact with, and he raped her 6 times.
