Prime Minister Hun Sen lashed out at UN rights envoy Yash Ghai again Monday, saying the premier would not meet with the special representative if they were both in Cambodia for a thousand more years.
Ghai is expected to hand an unflattering rights report to the UN next month, in which the government is accused of systematic abuse, according to the Ministry of Interior.
Hun Sen said at a bridge inauguration in Takeo province Monday the report was a reflection of the UN's desire to stay in the country, not reality.
"But this is what they say, and [Yash Ghai] comes from a country that is violating human rights too," Hun Sen said. "You come to our country and you are not received. You put in a request to meet, you come, you stay 1,000 more years, and if I live 1,000 more years, I still will not meet you. You have your own rights, and I have my own rights."

Can't the good people in poor countries work in a high position of international organisations? The countries are poor or violating human rights not because of their citizens but because of the leaders. Why our PM keeps attacking the country of Ghai instead of looking at what Ghai said? Will Hun Sen attack the present UN Secretary General, who is a Korean, by saying that he should reconcile his North and South Koreas first before coming to lead the UN body? Will Hun Sen afraid only the UN envoy who come from the rich and no-human right violation countries? Please my PM. I recognised that since the beginning that PM attacked Yash Ghai about his country. If I am not wrong, in US or Canada, there are many professional employees and professors are from under developed countries.

Hun Xen is a strong man, but Mr. Ghai is a strongest man. Why I say like this? as everyone knows, as soon as Mr. Ghai here in Cambodia, Dr. Hun Xen was hiding in the toilet.
I just don't see how AH HUN SEN Vietcong slave can be charged with corruption because there are no laws to charge him with!
Is there anyway to pass anti-corruption law?
