A B-52-type bomb was discovered by people and the police who dug it out of the ground and handed it over to the office of the military police in Takeo province on 13 July 2007. The Rasmei Kampuchea newspaper said that the bomb was discovered at a small mound east of Prech village, Roka Krao commune, Daun Keo district, Takeo province. According to a Prech villager, he went to relieve himself east of the village and found a small dirt mound looking like a grave covered with tree needles. He was puzzled to see the mound there because nobody died in the past few days. He then reported to the police to come and check it out. Filled with suspicions, the police and the village authority dug out the dirt mound and discovered the B-52-type bomb. They then proceeded to transport it to the military police office and to ask the CMAC organization to destroy it.
