The Cambodia Daily reported today that when Khieu Kanharith, government spokesman and Minister of Information, was asked about the defrocking of Khmer Krom Monk Tim Sakhorn, he claimed that the real reason behind the defrocking Monk Tim Sakhorn may have been that the monk was having sex with women rather than breaking the Vietnam-Cambodia relationship, because the accusation leveled against Monk Tim Sakhorn by the Cambodian Buddhist patriarch does not warrant a defrocking. Through his claim, Khieu Kanharith seems to be saying that patriarch Non Nget and supreme patriarch Tep Vong are nothing more than blatant liars. The Cambodia Daily went on to report that Khieu Kanharith said that an investigation is being conducted as to whether Monk Tim Sakhorn was hired by Christians to become a monk and having affairs with women, thereby encouraging people to convert to Christianity instead.

I've had two different people telling me that Khieu Kanharith was a notorious pedophile. Anyone can confirm? If true, it's a bit disgracious that he is the spokeperson of the Government...

Venerable Tim SaKhorn was accused of undermining the relationship between YOUN and Khmer. Do Khmer have a fair and friendly relationship with a country that took thousands of kilometers of Cambodia's lands and now they even control Cambodia.
