Mao Hak, director of the water department of the ministry of water resources, said on 05 July that rainfalls in the last few days caused a rise of about 0.5 meter of water level per day in the Tonle Sap, as measured along recording stations near the Mekong River. However, he said that the water level rise is not a concern yet.
