The international community and the world body have always regarded this episode as the "Coup d'Etat", not the "Event" as defined by the CPP.

We will always remember those who were murdered, as well as those whose lives were wrecked by the subsequent looting, by the CPP loyalists. From top CPP leaders to foot soldiers, they have Khmer blood on their murderous hands.

And, we also will not forget those who were purged by the CPP during the coup but subsequently colluded with the CPP for their personal gains. Their action without conscience makes a mockery of the democratic principle and justice.
