Cambodia has condemned Taiwan's bid to join the United Nations, saying the move threatens regional stability.
Taiwanese President Chen Shui-bian told a visiting US delegation last month that he planned to hold a referendum next year on joining the UN.
Cambodia's foreign ministry has issued a statement calling the plans hazardous and an act of provocation against China, which is one of Cambodia's strongest allies.
Beijing gives hundreds of millions of US dollars in aid to the impoverished country.
China considers Taiwan a renegade province and has pledged to recover it, by force if necessary.
Phnom Penh has repeatedly backed Beijing's "one-China" policy.

I would like to see TAIWAN get independent because it will set example for KHMER KROM or TIBET, so the rulers won't think that can do shit anymore. I really want to know how much CHINA pay HUN SEN to bark. You know, don't compare TAIWAN military might from CAMBODIA to TAIWAN, they are can't be compared. Even CHINA got to think twice of that situation because USA sell all modern war weapons to TAIWAN. TAIWAN is a rich country, they have all kind of weapons. Go TAIWAN! We need you to gain independent then you can help our KHMER KROM to fight for independent too.
