Domestic violence is one way to measure how Cambodian people are doing in general! When economic outlook are good and people can earn decent livings which fulfill all the basic needs and there should be less domestic violence in the household! But if the economic outlook are poor and all the basic needs are not met and husband and wife can fight each other over money and necessity issue which lead to more smoking or drinking for the husband and the end result will be more broken families! Cambodia has become the land of the broken families! Now combine that with the thousand and thousand of Cambodian families are being displaced by land grabbers with no hope of a better future!

The bad guys always win in Cambodia. This CPP government encouarges violence and crimminal acts in society. They are the main obstacle to development.
