The US-based Hearts Without Border organization plans to bring a group of 20 doctors to provide healthcare for children in the province of Siem Reap in the near future.
Hearts Without Border is a NGO formed in 2006, and headed by Peter Chhun, a native of Kralanh district, Siem Reap province.
Peter Chhun said from California that the mission to help Cambodian children will start on 15 October at the Children’s Hospital for Angkor, located in Siem Reap province.
Peter Chhun said: “On 15 October, a group of US doctors will start their work at the Children’s Hospital for Angkor. If you have children who have heart conditions, and want to have these doctors look at them, please bring them over to the Children’s Hospital for Angkor.”
Mayarith (RFA): “Will they have to pay anything for the healthcare?”
Peter Chhun: “There’s no cost, it’s absolutely free of charge.”
RFA: “Is there a possibility to bring those who are seriously ill to the US for their healthcare or not?”
Peter Chhun: “At this time, I cannot say anything yet, based on the checkup by the US Doctors who will go there, if they see that the case is too serious and they cannot take care of it on the spot, they will take some other decision.”
Peter Chhun who works for the US NBC Television channel, said that this will be the second trip by the US doctors to provide medical help to Cambodian children since his organization was formed in 2006.

There may be a bit of confusion. I guess this article refers to the Angkor Hospital for Children (AHC):
