Kem Sokha who was recently elected as the Human Rights Party president, boasted, that during the 2008 general election, his party will be somewhere between the first and second position, but it will not be in the third position. In an interview with The Cambodia Daily, Kem Sokha raised the topic about his party taking a leading position (during the 2008 general election) stemming from the fact that HRP has an ace up in its sleeve, and that this HRP ace is no other than himself. Kem Sokha said that his party can compete against other parties because people know him already. He also said that even though his party is new, he is not a new man, therefore he thinks that his HRP party will be positioned between number one and number two, but not number 3. Kem Sokha said that the goal of his party is to provide power to the people. He said that the majority of the people who are poor is because they lost their power, whereas the Cambodians who are rich is because of they have power. Kem Sokha said that his party will provide power to the people in order to reduce the number of concession lands and take back this wealth to redistribute to the poor people. His party promises that if it wins the election, the proportional voting system will be scrapped and there will be a term limit for the prime ministerial position.

I think Kem Sokha is expecting too much from the 2008 general election. The problem is:
- People are not sure of the structure of the party. If it wins election, does it have enough member to control the county? Where do they come from? The party is too new and not enough people.
- If it critisize the governement the same as Sam Ransy, why vote for Kem Sokha who we are not even sure if he really criticise government or just make it sound good.
- We don't know who long will the Human right party survise. It migh run out of money soon.
- If people want to vote for HRP, they will vote for SRP instead.
He is too proud of himself. It will take sometime to gain popularity not just before election.

Look I know the man has pride in himself. To me there is nothing wrong with it as long as he uses it wisely. The Cambodian people in my view have the last good chance to change in 2008 for the better. 28 years is more than enough for the same group of people who rule Cambodia and serve foreign interests. This group of people take for granted that Cambodia belongs to them. Now it's about time to put an end to this.
I'm with anyone that is Khmer and can put an end to Hun Sen's rule. There is a saying "Fear is temporary, regret is permanent". So our chance will come in 2008. Compatriots do it right for the next generation of Cambodians. Stop the mud throwing and start the dialogues, unite as one voice and force and you will see the enemies tremble.
HRP mouth piece should know that people know what is the empty rhetoric.
Kem Sokha said nothing about how he is going to resolve problems but about what HRP wants.
HRP offered No platform,no goal,no counter plan and strategy.
It appears term limit on prime ministership is much a talking point.
The problems are provincial or district governments needed to be reformed.
Candidate must stand for constituency election,
MP candidate needed to be elected by district of residence ,
Size of government must be manageable in all levels to avoid Khnia chroeurn onnsorm chhao.
The socio-economic glean in infrastructures are priorities.
Foreign debts-loans reduction.
Beware of four baldhead men and a daydreamer on top of palmtree lore.
Is Kem Sokha four baldhead men or a daydreamer?
Fail to plan is plan to fail.
I doubt if HRP will get one seat in parliament. If so just enough for him.
HLM
HRP is having its internal problems now:
1. Former CCHR's provincial representatives who join kem sokha HRP and the persons who come from overseas. They are fighting for the first number in each province. How can he solve that?
2.Most people in HRP are boasting, proud...greed for fame and now they have a role conflict that who is going to speak for the Press? Kem Sokha or Keo Ramy? Kem Sokha or HRP's spokeman?
3. The people who join HRP are required to pay for the party so that the party can exist. And we know some of them at the top are so selfish, ex. Kem Sokha himself, Keo Ramy, Gnek Sovanara...and so on. Actually, according to my observation, SRP in one perspective, should thank Kem Sokha who created HRP for it collected most of the Jumping Monkey Politicians.
4. The structure is complicated and unstable to balance with the Cambodian political situation and the human resource is in a big lack.
So, Keep bosting....Mr. Prig!
Kem Sokha's role is to slow down Sam Rainsy for another 2 mandates(10 years). Even he'll get no seat he can take seats from SRP to CPP because of our election system. He is the same as Tep Vong who works for Hun Sen. In ten years Hun Sen will be close to 70 years old and strong forever and hand over Cambodia to his family, at the same time to Vietnam. Kem Sokha, in exchange, got the push from Hun Sen for all his family to the US and good life.
SAM RAINSEY IS THE ONLY MAN FOR THE 2008 ELECTION. KEM SOKHA IS TOO MUCH B/S-ING JUST LIKE HUN SEN. SAME SHIT, SAME RESULT ! JUST BECAUSE THE WAY HE IS COMING OUT.
SAM RAINSEY, STAND UP TO HUN SEN, HE IS FOR ALL KHMER , EVEN FOR KHMER KROM, ( DONT GET ME WRONG, IM NOT KHMER KROM ) HE IS OVERSEAS KHEMR VOTING RIGHTS. AND HE SPEAKS UP AT ALMOST EVERY PROBLEM WITH LAND GRABBING.
DON'T WASTE TIME WITH ANYONE ELSE KHMER PEOPLE.
SAM RAINSEY 2008!!! WE ALL OWED TO OUR HISTORY AND VICTIM OF KHMER ROUGE AND VICTIM OF TODAY CURRUPTION !!!
I give Kem Sokha (Human Right Party) less than 5 years to succeed in Cambodian politic but if he fails politic less than 5 years then he is just another carpetbagger!
Boast shit Kem Sokha.
Your party will get air seat in 2008 general election.
Coreently, most eople know you are the puppet of CPP. You receive the fanancial support from CPP. You are just imstrument of AH HUN SEN.
