Not only does it oppress Khmer Krom people, Vietnam now wants to obliterate the history of Kampuchea Krom as well

SRP MP Son Chhay sent an official reaction demanding that the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs resolve a problem with Vietnam whereby a Vietnamese national news agency published a claim that the land of Kampuchea Krom is Vietnamese land, and that it was not obtained from Vietnam’s invasion on Cambodia.

In a letter sent to the president of the National Assembly on Thursday requesting that the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs resolve this issue, Son Chhay who is in charge of the foreign affairs committee of the National Assembly, calls the Vietnamese claim a rewriting of history by Vietnam, and an insult on past Cambodian kings. He also said that the Vietnamese claim inflicts additional anger and suffering on Khmer Krom people.

Son Chhay said: “We can see that in Southeast Asia, there is a move to strengthen the mutual recognition. It is not right that, at this time, Vietnam is fabricating fake history that affects the honor of (past) Cambodian kings, and affects the truth. This action is not acceptable by Cambodians. It is time that Cambodia stands up to defend what belongs to our nation.”

At the beginning of this week, the Vietnamese website www.baocantho.com.vn posted for the world to know that Khmer Krom people, who are currently living in South Vietnam, are mere ethnic minorities. The website went on to claim that these Khmer Krom people fled Cambodia to avoid the genocides perpetrated by the past Cambodian kings.

The article was prepared by the committee of the southwest zone commandment of the Communist Party of Vietnam. The article also provided a summary which claims that the southern portion of Vietnam was obtained by land clearing made by Vietnam only, and that this land has nothing to do with Cambodians.

This type of articles had been rejected by Cambodian historians who said that during its apogee, the Khmer empire extends all the way to the China Sea. It was not until the 16th century that the more powerful Annam kingdom swallowed the entire kingdom of Champa. Annam then moved southward and aggressed Cambodia until it took over the Kampuchea Krom lands bordering the lower Mekong River. It was not until 1949 that the entire 16 provinces and cities of Kampuchea Krom fell under the occupation of Vietnam at the end of the French colony in Indochina [KI-Media: it was in fact colonial France which unfairly turned the ownership of Kampuchea Krom to the Vietnamese in 1949].

RFA tried to obtain clarification from the minister of education (Kol Pheng) on this historical issue, but he said that he cannot comment about it yet. Up until now, the Cambodian ministry of information did not react yet to this (false) claim made by the Vietnamese authority.

Good on you Son Chhay, this shows the Vietcong's true color. We've got to let the International communities know about the true history of KK, not to let the misinformation by the Vietcong propaganda machine goes unchallenged. Please keep this KK issue alive MP Son Chhay, we all support and behind you in this.

We need to this land back no matter what. This is about justice. Many Khmer lives were lost for centuries defending this land. We will not accept a foreign signature on a piece of paper giving the land and its people away to suffer relentlessly. The fucking french will suffer one day for making khmers suffer.

We all know that Ah youns lie through their black stained teeth. Ah Youns were reduced into vassals by His Majesty King Jayvaraman VII in 1216 and 1218. We know who Ah Youns were and are. The history timeline below will show the important major events.

Excerpts from ANGKOR Splendors of the Khmer Civilization

In 1181, the ruler of unified Kambuja, Jayavarman was crowned as as Jayavarman VII, the best-known Khmer Emperor. Jayavarman VII was also a Buddhist and filled the country with religous foundations, but this did not prevent him from being a great conqueror.

In 1190, Jayavarman VII subjugated Champa. In 1203, Jayavarman VII annexed Champa once more.

With the annexation of Champa, the Khmer Empire reached its greatest size. Jayavarman had to deal with the new incursions in the west by the Burmese of Hairpunjaya in Lavo, but he eventually forced them to pay tribute to him. The same fate befell Annam to the north-east; it had actually been invaded with little success in 1216 and 1218, but preferred to declare itself at least nominally the vassal of Angkor. To the north, where the Korat plateau and the entire Menam valley were now firmly in Khmer hands, Jayavarman's armies marched as far as northern Laos, reaching what is now Vientiane and the borders of the Thai kingdom of Nan Chao (now Yunnan). To the south the armies reached southern Malaysia, conquering the kingdoms of Dvaravati, Grahi, and Tambralinga, and Java also appears to have recognized suzerainty of Jayavarman.

Given the fact that the current communist Vietnamese regime bulldozed and obliterated the graves of the hundreds of thousands of brave Army of the Republic of Vietnam soldiers who died trying to prevent a communist takeover of their nation, it should come as no surprise that they think they can re-write history.

It sound are not pretending to be stupid or are they stupid to base their on such thing?

The Pieces of Evidence of Oc Eo

Ah Youn scholars keep saying that Funan was not of the Khmer; however their archeologists keep digging up Khmer artifacts there. Observe this one well preserved piece of Khmer apsara found by ah Youns at the link below. Also observe the female stone face and her earlobes. The Apsara and the female statues look the same of those of the artifcats at Angkor. In case any of you wondering what is the name "Oc Eo", here let me explain. It is a mistransliteration of the Khmer name "O' Keo". It is an ancient Khmer seaport in Funan. Remember that Cambodia itself was part of Funan. Watch out for the black-stain teethed YOUNS. They love to lie and teach their children that Funan was not of the Khmer. To counter their lies, just show them the historical time line to their faces.
