The Rasmei Kampuchea newspaper reported that during a period of only one week, the number of lawsuits against the Long Chhin Company has increased by 10 more. Until now, this company is faced with 47 lawsuits demanding damage compensation totaling about $1 million. A court clerk at the Kandal provincial tribunal told Rasmei Kampuchea that, in less than one month, the court has already received 47 lawsuits against the Long Chhin Company. However, for all these lawsuits, the judge did not look into them yet, nor did he summon the defendants for questioning on these cases, The court is waiting to receive all the complaints first before looking into them. The court clerk said that the majority of the victims who have bought lands and houses from the Long Chhin Co. live in Phnom Penh. Each complaint demands a damage compensation of no less than $30,000.

I cannot see any light of these law suite can be succeeded because at the end it was the Government of Cambodia who has approved their project. I will see the different scenario which Long Chhin will bring his law suite against his Company into foreign court for breaching their trust and their committemnt to honour their agreement. Hun Sen Government has to pay a high price for this law suite. If Long Chhin come to see me and can help him with this law suite. He has all to win the case and Cambodia will have a bad reputation for foreign investment.
