Oknha Oum Chhay, owner of the Chhay Chhay Investment company and an advisor to Heng Samrin, president of the National Assembly, who was arrested by the Ministry of Interior (MoI) police on 15 August for involvement in the drug lab production in Kompong Speu province, committed suicide by jumping down from the first floor of the anti-drug-trafficking office of the MoI. Khieu Sopheak, MoI spokesman, told The Cambodia Daily that since his arrest, Oum Chhay unsuccessfully attempted to commit suicide twice already: once by running head first into a wall, and another time by trying to electrocute himslef. However, on Tuesday, Oum Chhay succeeded in evading 3 police officers who escorted him to the bathroom, and he took the opportunity to jump out of a nearby window. Khieu Sopheak said that a committee led by Neth Savoeun, the deputy national police commissioner, was formed to investigate on the cause of Oum Chhay’s death. Khieu Sopheak said that, before dying, Oum Chhay confessed that he did provide help in the transportation of raw chemicals to the drug lab located in Kompong Speu province.

Oum Chhay committed suicide is a very big eviden showing that something that involved in a wide range of high ranking government officials behind him.
He committed suicide because he didn't want his boss or group that getting involved to face the law. There are somebody else (the Top Mafia)who was behind this drug ring,and they are threateng Oum Chhay if he did not kill himself.
If Oum Chhay didn't kill himself, his family will be in danger. To keep it mystery once he got caught, he must eliminate the story with him.
There are two scenarios regarding this publicity.
1-I don't believe the death man was OUM CHHAY. The death body could could be someone has died in the hospital and has bought for this monky show.
2-If he has really died with this kind of suicide, I believe that he has already been killed by officials there to cover up others high ranking officials and then they throw his body through the window and then tell the public that he has committed suicide.
Hun Sen can do every thing to escape embarassement.

When a guilty person cofesses, it's only because he wants to be apologied and want to live !
Once again, this shows that the ruling goverment is hte real mafia.
"running head first against the wall" and "electrocute himself" to commit suicide? Looks like he didn't really want to die.
If Oum Chhay's suicide is true, this means the mafia boss is top-ranking officials and his family was in danger by the threat of the mafia boss. He died with a lot of strong evdience relating to drug lab.
If he was killed by the mafia boss and then was thrown out the window, this means Oum Chhay possessed a lot of evidence of involvement in the drug lab.
This was his only alternative.
