On Saturday, the Phnom Penh municipal court officially charged two more suspects involved in terrorist activity to set up explosive on 29 July, in a failed attempt to destroy the Cambodian-Vietnamese monument in Phnom Penh.

According to one source, the two suspects are: 31-year-old Soeung Vy, and 32-year-old Lim Phen, both are Khmer Kampuchea Krom currently living in Chamcar Chek village, Treng Troyoeung commune, Phnom Sruoch district, Kompong Speu province.

Sok Roeun, the deputy prosecutor of the Phnom Penh municipal court, confirmed to RFA that the two men were already charged by the court for terrorism as the other suspects were previously charged also. He indicated that two will be sent to the Prey Sar jail, and that Ker Sakhorn, the investigating judge, will pursue the investigation into this case.

Chhay Sinarith, director of the central security information of the Ministry of Interior, told RFA, on Saturday, that five arrests were made on terrorist suspects who used TNT explosive. They are involved with the Khmer Kampuchea Krom Liberation Front led my Mr. Thach Sang who currently lived in the US.

Chhay Sinarith indicated that the arrest of the 2 new suspects was based on confession made by Sok Kim Sovath, another suspect arrested on Thursday. “The remaining of the group, the location where the explosive was made, when they were brought in, they confessed,” Chhay Sinarith said.

30-year-old Lim Vanny, who lives in Chamcar Chek village, told RFA that Soeung Vy, her husband, is Khmer Kampuchea Krom, and that Lim Phen is her older cousin and he is Khmer Kampuchea Krom also. They were both arrested at the same time. “It’s very unfair, extremely unfair, there’s no reason for him to take such action,” Lim Vanny protested.

Ang Chanrith, the executive director of the Khmer Kampuchea Krom Human Rights Defense organization, reacted by saying: “On these charges, we ask that the government investigates properly first before sentencing them.”

Since the failed attempt to set up TNT explosion at the Cambodian-Vietnamese Friendship monument, on 29 July, the authority immediately seek for an immediate arrest of 5 suspects: Soeung Than, Kim Sophat, Sok Kim Sovath, and the 2 most recent ones, Soeung Vy and Lim Phen.

Thach Sang, the former president of the Khmer Kampuchea Krom Liberation Front, who currently lives in the US, reacted (to accusations leveled by the Cambodian government against him) by telling RFA from the US, on Friday, that he is not involved with the suspects arrested by the authority. He said that he has no such movement set up.

There are 12 millions KK live in south Vietnam. Why don't they stand up fight the vietnameses to the last drop of their blood? Why always dragged Cambodia into their personal issues? Cambodia can't even help themselves, Eing Sary and many KK cardees contributed to millions of killing during Pol Pot regime....Since 1950's, there are so many KK people worked for Sihanouk's admin, Lon Nol's admin, KR's admin etc.. big influencial to Cambodia leaders. These influential were mostly political to gain Khmer Krom land? The same strategy repeatedly used over 50 years where 99% of KK problems occurred inside Camboidia land. Why can KKF fight the Vietnameses inside Vietnam land? Why don't they TNT in south Vietname? Why in Phnom Pehn?

To 3:11AM!

You talk like the Khmer Krom people and the Khmer Kandal people are two distinct races of people! Since the French hand over the Khmer Kampuchea Krom land to the Viet in 1949, it was the kiss of death for the Khmer Krom people because they were shut out from the world community by the Vietcong government! The Khmer Krom people no longer have a voice among international community because they don't have a government to represent at the United Nations! Remember! The United Nations will only deal with a group of people who have a country and have a system of government!

Since the Khmer Krom people have no country and have no system of government and who can they turn to for help or even to listen to their cry for help? Who? Who? Who? So the only logical step is to turn to Cambodia because after all Cambodia is the only country on this planet that share everything with the Khmer Krom people include ethnicity, language, culture, religion, deep rooted cultural tie...AND THE MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL IS THAT CAMBODIA HAVE A GOVERNMENT WHICH THE UNITED NATIONS RECOGNIZE! The Cambodian government can be a puppet government or an independent government but it is still a government and the world communities are willing to deal with and through Cambodian government, the Khmer Krom people have some limited voice to tell the world community of what is happening to the Khmer Krom people in Vietname! If this is not the case, Khmer Krom people would have turn to China, Loa, Thai...

If Khmer Krom people are born to Earth as a dying race and so let it be! But before the Khmer race die out from this planet and there will be a fight whether it is through peaceful mean or the most violent way but there will be a fight!

Don’t be afraid of death because the minute when we were born, we are all racing toward death! But to die with a purpose so that the next generation can be prosperous and happy and it worth dying for! Khmer Krom people are ready to die!
