It's better to have new relationship with US than with the damn you. If the US wants to help us, let them help us. At least they don't take our land, unlike the youn who just want land and more land from us.
It's better to get new military equipments from the US than used equipments from the youn.

Fooled by USA once was a mistake, fool by USA twice you are a dumbo...
You don't know the old history.
1) US destroyed Cambodia stability via puppet Lon Nol resulting 2 millions killed. Because Sihanook refused to be their puppet.
2) US supported KR notorious killers the same way they did to Marcos and Suhato for their own political reasons.
3) US enriched communists China and Vietnam for years and supporting dictatorship Khmer government while ignoring freedom humanright oppressions like what hapenning to Khmer Krom who were the best anti-Vietcong fighters.
4) US military training is a tiny effort giving to Khmer in exchange for their next preparation to face China's military expansion in the region.
5) US themself funded communist China and its expansion via their global economy trades.
6) Just like 1975, They will us your children to fight for them than later run away from you and let you die by communist's tanks roll over you.
I'm also a Cambodian refugee living in United States. I hope you understand their greediness??? US gives 3 billions a year to Israel who occupies and bulldozers Palestinian homes in their own land...
Because of their greediness policy....Uncle Sam will create more refugees around the planet.US is the biggest Armed Seller and also a member of permanent of Security council.
You can blame all that on China and the Soviet too. So what's the point? The point is, while China will blatantly support corruption, the U.S. will at least show some sort of transparancy or attempts to hide it. NGOs can protest against America and get better results than if they were to protest against China, the Soviet or the Youn.

If th US can give khmer 3 billion a year just like it gives to Israel, why hesitate to take it. If the US can equipt Cambodia with F-35 lightning II, why not wellcome!! If the US can station some ten thausands troops like it does in S. Korea or Japan, why not wellcome.
ah yourn and ah chin always claim to be friend, but you get from their friendship is only left over bone and loosing land piece by piece.
Being small, you need a big friend. Taiwan does that, Singapore does that, s. korea does that too. and it works.

Every dept of Xmer Government there are Youn-Hanoi controlling Khmer.In the palace,Yuon had created Xmer-King.
If US give Xmer 3 Billion dollars a year it will be good for Xmer Hun Xen & its CPP to kill more khmers who dare to against them.
Taiwan,Singapore and Sth Korea there are no CPP inside its government .Their leader are patriots who defend its countries.
In Cambodia Sok Kong,Yuon-Hanoi,of Sokimex control all of khmer wealths.
How much Khmer People has benefit from Angkor Wat ? Nothing !

Cambodia has excellent chemistry with western. For example, with the present of the French, Cambodia still has its map on the surface of this earth; otherwise, it would have plitted by yourn and Siam long time ago. of course, we give ton credit to our khmer patriots.
Having a reliable friend like Uncle SAM of USA, uncle HO of Youn is not too hard to deal with.
