This sign need to be destroyed. I don't think vietnam has a sign that says Phnom Penh street.
more and more evidents of colonalism in cambodia by vietnam !! These details will be one day be used against them for sure ! Vietnam's greet, oppression, and cold-hearted-ness is just plainly " dump " for showing their true colors ( pure evil race ) Remember this khmer people who is your friend and who isn't ! This has got to be the sickest picture I've seen in years. Ha Noi Blvd.. Please! I am going to throw up by just thinking about it, let alone seeing it. I plan to go back home (cambodia) soon and that picture has just ruined my trip!

This shows the ashamed of Cambodian again. I had a chance visiting Kampuchea Krom. Even Kampuchea Krom is our Khmer ancestral land, but you would never see any sign on the road saying in Khmer. You may find only the place that has sign in Khmer is at the Khmer's temple gate. But, it has to have both Vietnamese and Khmer, not allowed to have only Khmer.
In Phnom Penh now, you even see Cafe Thao, Cafe Huong, and one day you will see the road that has Vietnamese name. It already happened in Laos. Cambodia will be next step. I even saw the hospital in Phnom Penh has Vietnamese sign. I almost cried when I saw that. It means Cambodia now becomes another Kampuchea Krom, Champa, and Laos soon.
This sign just said Hanoi in Khmer, but one day, they will write it in YOUN. It is sad for Camboida to have a Prime Minister that has only ONE EYE, but the other eye is now blind too. Thus, he never sees those types of issues.
If we lookat a stamp on the pass port that you entered Cambodia airport, you will see a name like "Ly Bunna". A cambodian that has lastname "Ly". I was shocked. If a Khmer Krom has last name "Ly", that is OK because Khmer Krom living under YOUN. But Cambodian living in an Independent state like Cambodia has last name "Ly" and controlled the whole security of the airport. That makes me think that Cambodia is not an Indepedent state any more.
Cambodian, ACTION tells thousand words. If we dont act now, we will end up to ask Vietnam granting Visa for Cambodian oversea to visit Cambodia in the near future or If you are not half-Vietnamese and half-Khmer, you are not allow to hold any government position which is also applied now in Laos. If you ask a Laotian that if the Laos Prime Minister is really a Laotian, the Laotion will say "HELL NO, he is Vietnamese". This is the truth. May be the next term of Cambodian Prime Minister is not just half-Khmer half-Vietnamese, but it is a Vietnamese person like Hok Lundy.

This street name sign certainly get a VIP treatment. Most street name signs, even with prominent names such as Khmerak Phumin (Royal Khmer) and Kampuchea Krom (to be renamed as Dao Phu Quoc (Koh Tral)), appear on a small steel plate planted on a steel or wooden post. But, this one is carved out of marble and concrete and nicely decorated. It is built to last and to impress with great authority.
Now that the government officials of Vietnamese origin are in charge of most Cambodian institutions, this is only the start of more Viet things to come. Cambodia will be going down the same road as Laos, where the Viets also have their military bases to keep Laos under their feet forever. The Vietnamese troops can enter Cambodian territories at will to search for the escaped Montagnards while Cambodian officials of Cambodian origin are busy hugging their corrupt wealth and Viet mistresses.
The Cambodian government, military and police officials have also been busy grabbing lands from poor Cambodians for their Viet masters in Cambodian disguise as a grateful gesture of undying loyalty. The Khmers are already experiencing life under occupation politically (Viet CPP) and religiously (Tep Vong and Co.) in the new Cambodia.

Cambodian cannot be, and shouldn't be, totally isolated from the rest of the world. Future is in exchanges of cultures, good, and people.
Just look at what we eat on a daily basis. If we remove the food imported from Vietnam and Thailand, we have nothing left to eat!

I wish we could get some relevant information about the 'land robbing' you talk about. I think that we should call it 'land purchase', as the current Cambodian government is well aware of what is happening and gets political and financial compensations for giving away Cambodian territory. Nothing illegal then, even though it is made against your wishes. You shouldn't blame the buyers, you should blame the sellers...
I wish we had maps, I wish we had an independent observation team, I wish we had relevant reports of what is happening.
Unless we have a map showing where the real border or Cambodia is and showing where the Thai and Vietnamese people claim their border is, there is nothing to argue on. We are talking about land grabbing, but it's nonsense unless we have clear evidence and documents to discuss it between responsible adults...
Now, having maps is a sign of transparency, something Cambodian authorities are not very good at... They are hiding all the logging, economic and mining concessions, all the land titling, all the shady private developments, so they can abuse people's rights in the process.
The key to independance from our neighbours is not by criticizing them on a daily basis, but by developing a free, modern country, devoid of corruption, where we produce our own food, where we have a working government and where we have skilled and honnest government workers to highlight any loss of national territory to the benefits of foreign countries.

If only Cambodia can copy a fraction of the Viet capability and Cambodia would be a different place but it is too bad that HUN SEN include his officials don't have the brain power to copy what the Viet can do and they rather chose to be slave to the Viet for everything even when Cambodian toddler lost s/her foot in escalator accident and s/ he had to be send to Vietname just to do the reconnect foot surgery! Hey man don't bomb! Don't do anything illegal. It shocks me that there is such a road in Cambodia. Why? Why do they decided to name a street like that? It must be Vietnames who decide to name that. So it means Vietnames is in governemnt position right now. Cambodia is in very big trouble right now. I will forward this image to all my friends and see their reactions. I believe Internet and blog community can make a different. Ki-Media is one example. Ki-Media is a place where people can discuss without worrying about being killing or threaten by governemnt. I believe Cambodia is better than VN because people can speak and talk and mostly can criticize government on newspaper too. People seem to have more power than in VN. If Cambodian know how to use their right to choose government, one day Cambodia will have a very good prime minister and Cambodia will be better than VN. Then we will be able to protect our country and kick illegal VN out of the country.

Hanoi Street locates at Phnom Penh Thmei. The street is crossing Teuk Thla, Psa Dei Hoy, from Rout No 4 near Pochentong to the West.
You can't see Beung Prayab any more. The lake become land mostly owned by Korean and Chinese.....
