Tim Sà Khorn đã cùng một số người Khmer Nam bộ khác khoác áo sư sãi tại Campuchia thường xuyên tổ chức các đợt tụ tập gây rối, biểu tình vu cáo chống Việt Nam và đã tổ chức móc nối được một số người ở Việt Nam để kích động tụ tập gây rối, tạo cớ vu cáo chính quyền đàn áp người Khmer.
Tim Sà Khorn đã bị cơ quan bảo vệ pháp luật của Việt Nam khởi tố tạm giam theo điều 87 “Tội phá hoại chính sách đoàn kết” Bộ luật Hình sự nước Công hòa xã hội chủ nghĩa Việt Nam năm 1999 để xử lý trước pháp luật.
