The US military will help train Cambodia troops in counterterrorism, a top-ranking US official said Tuesday.
Admiral Timothy Keating, US commander-in-chief for the Pacific theater, said after meeting Cambodian Defense Minister Tea Banh that he would support such training to Royal Cambodian Armed Forces soldiers to strengthen military ties between the two countries.
"We are very grateful for the support that Cambodia is providing, and we are anxious to make an even stronger friendship," Keating said.
Cambodia is enjoying increasing security support from the US. Military officials have trained doctors on bird flu response and the Federal Bureau of Investigation opened a branch office in Phnom Penh earlier this year.

Mindful of this small thing, you would gain better support even for political agenda and party as well.
The training has 2 things :
1)- By supporting the Evil regime of Cambodia Uncle Sam who doesn't care whom he deals with as long as he got benefits...recently general Vang Pao & Hmong people were rejected like the Banana leaves.
2)-US needs the new allies to confront with the arising China.
What make we all think US is better than Red China,Thug Yuon-Hanoi & Evil ruler in Cambodia ?

The first person has a point. It is not just this site but majority of the online forums seem be to moderated by people who are opposition to the government of Cambodia. Their headlines and statements seem very biased. For instance, U.S. is to train Cambodian Army in fighting terrorits [strengthening Hun Sen's power]. There is always that additional wordings in what they post that indicate they are very biased. This is not a newscaster but a propaganda news. Also, there seems to be only bad news from Cambodia lol. Anything good has never hit the internet. I wonder why. My country is developing socially and economically but they fools who post what they call news just seem to skip all those good news eh lol. Hypocrites? ;)
