A report from Bavet, Chantrea district, Svay Rieng province, along the border between Cambodia and Vietnam, indicated that the Star Vegas Casino Company agreed to let Cambodian women employees wear Cambodian clothes as usual again, after they were forced to wear the Vietnamese “ao dai” dresses. The women workers at the casino fiercely protested against this rule imposed by the casino owners who are Koreans, and whose managers are Vietnamese.
Numerous employees were elated that the casino relaxed this order which is not acceptable by the majority of Cambodian people. “I am happy again to return back to work this evening. They told me that they no longer force us to wear (the Vietnamese ao dai dress) again after RFA reported the information on the airwave. Therefore, I am very happy, and all our Cambodian sisters who do not want to wear (the Vietnamese dress) are also very happy.”

Is this Casino a joint venture between South Korea & Vietnam? For God's sake, it's Cambodian soil and sovereignty. How could this blind Cambodian government allow this to happen?
Uniform is fine, but "ao dai" is not a uniform. It's a national custom dress for Viet women. Of course, Hok Lundy is the power behind this Casino, so this sort of crap is bound to happen.
A big thumb up for our brothers and sisters who organised the protest at that Casino!
Why stupid Khmer leaders let the Viet managers supervise and work in Cambodia illigally in this casino? The Korean casino should hire Cambodia managers; otherwise, on business in Cambodia. They need to hire local people to create more jobs for Cambodian not for the Viet.
Maybe without the election of 2008 , nothing is done by the government to fight this event.
If Hok Lundy remains as the police national chief, we can't trust this government.
We must tell to foreigners that if they want to stay in Cambodia, they have to respect our country laws, otherwise they can be punished.
Now the government must protect those employees.
THEY CAN NOT READ WRITE AND THINK THAT WHY THE VIETNAMESE SECRET AGENT SUPPORTING THEM (THE CPP)
Hope Hun Sen won't raise his belligerent voices to intimidate RFA personnel who supported Khmer casino employees. Cambodian people please get rid of police chief Hok lundy. Don't let him live in Cambodia. He is the main cause to Khmers daily life. In fact he is Vietcong. Come on ! get rid of that pest out of Cambodia.
