Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos agree on border point
The second round of Vietnam-Cambodia-Laos working level talks on defining the exact point where the three countries meet took place in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, from Aug. 29-31.
At the meeting, the three parties unanimously approved a plan to design the joined-border landmark and a draft agreement on the defining for the intersection point of the Vietnam-Cambodia-Laos borders.
They also agreed to draw up a map in order to complete the planting of the landmark by the end of 2007.
Head of the Vietnamese delegation to the talks was Nguyen Hong Thao, Vice Chairman of the National Border Committee under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
