PHNOM PENH — Japan Airlines plans to fly to Cambodia for the first time in November this year, a government official said Friday. Tea Sotha, undersecretary of state of the State Secretariat for Civil Aviation, said JAL plan was raised Wednesday by Seiichi Iwasaki, regional manager of Japan Airlines International Co, during a meeting with Sok An, deputy prime minister and minister in charge of the office of the Council of Ministers.
According to the discussions, a Boeing 767-300 charter flight will be started to Siem Reap International Airport in the country's northern province Siem Reap, hometown of Angkor Wat, two to three times a month until the end of the year and it will become a regular flight early next year.
