The Khmer Kampuchea-Krom Federation (KKF) continues to push the International community to help resolve the case of Monk Tim Sakhorn who is currently being jailed by the Vietnamese authority.

A KKF delegation from Washington DC, led by Mr. Truong Giap, plans to meet US congressmen, Amnesty International officials, and US officials from the International Freedom of Religion Committee, to ask for their help to intervene in applying pressure on the Vietnamese government to agree to release Monk Tim Sakhorn, the former abbot of the Phnom Den pagoda.

The KKF delegation plans to meet these international community officials on 12 September to ask for their help in securing the release of Monk Tim Sakhorn who was defrocked by the Cambodian authority on 30 June 2007, in Takeo province, Cambodia, and he was handed over to the Vietnamese government in Kampuchea Krom (South Vietnam) which is now under occupation by the Vietnamese government. Monk Tim Sakhorn was accused by the Cambodian authority of undermining the friendship between the governments in the two countries.

It is an outrage and disgrace to the nation of Khmer that its government can't defend citizen who actually advocated in behalf of oppressed folks. UN Human Rights suffrage is violated here.

It is so shameful that the government odficials act so loudly and mighty but can't do crap to stop the foreign violator from harming own citizen.

This may be a small matter to some but one Khmer is too many for the enemy to insult and molest.

Who says Iron Fist is a real man of honor?

I'd like to know if Khmer krom is really given to vietnam?
Because khmer krom people are kmer and they can't live under vietnam rule : they will suffer all their life.
Do you think we can get khmer krom back one day?
After Hun Sen, Cambodia will surely have a good leader who loves khmer people.
