Two men involved in the shooting in the middle of Phnom Penh city on Sunday afternoon, and causing the death of Reth Nika, the Phnom Penh city deputy military police commander, were arrested by the authority on Monday. During the shooting, another man, Roth Chanronady, a 27-year-old police major of the department of supply for the ministry of interior, also died. The two men arrested are: 27-year-old Hor Sok Heng, a body guard, and 30-year-old Lay Pisith, an electrician who was holding a Braha handgun. The police think that the motive of the shooting death could be revenge, and that two other suspects are being sought by the police. Keo Remy, first vice president of the Human Rights Party, called the shooting a "brutal" example of the "killing anarchy" brought about by weak rule of law.
