As 82- year-old Nuon Chea was facing questioning in the Khmer Rouge tribunal courts Wednesday, his wife and family members remained in Pailin, unworried.
Seng Ly, the wife of Pol Pot's notorious deputy, said she was not shocked by the detention of Nuon Chea Wednesday morning, and she echoed statements the former Khmer Rouge architect had said himself, that he will face the courts and give his version of the truth.
That truth will be that the Khmer Rouge were defending Cambodia's sovereignty from aggressive Vietnamese and US interests, intent on the destruction of the Khmer people, Seng Ly said.
"I want him to go to the court and tell the truth, to make it clear," Seng Ly told VOA Khmer Wednesday.
She was unaware of the number of people killed during the reign of Democratic Kampuchea, the formal name of the insular communist movement that became known around the world as the Khmer Rouge, and would not talk "just to talk," she said.
"Who was the aggressor on whom?" she said. "Who encroached on Cambodian territory; who killed the Khmer people? I want justice for Democratic Kampuchea, and that the aggressor should not be free—those who dropped bombs and killed tens of thousands of people and went free and put all the blame on the Khmer Rouge."

Count your blessings Mrs. Brother 2! More than two millions of my people never got a chance to tell the truth under your husband's regime.
After the American bombing and vietnamese encroachment, why didn't pol pot regime build the country into a prosperous one. Why did they have to kill 2 millions people and starve the whole nation, for what purpose? Stop blaming on others with your evil intention.
I am not supporting any one accordig to my knowledge the US bombed Cambodia at Chantrear Svay Rieng province because they saw the Vietcong who fougth in south Vietnam and came to Cambodia border for taking rest and at the time. And at the time that I was in the KR prison far away from the town three helicopter fougth that place because the Vietcong or Sihanouk soldiers in that place. Before blaming any one or any country we have find out the cause not just talk and talk without any evident. I just want to know why they killed the innocents people from the cities which they did not have any weapons on hand? And who cause the war for Cambodia? The war in Cambodia for what reason? revenge? maintain the powers? Only Sihanouk knows these answers so bring him to the KR tribunal and let him tells truely with swearing that no boby doubt any more. When Sihanouk want to help the khmer people the right decision is doing what he said in the past that he going to clarify in front the court when it is set up. Come on do it and it is your decision no body can force or stop you if you want that is for the people and for the country.
Nuon Chea: Although I was one of the victims of your regime, I wanted to let you know that I admire you for having the courage to accept the KRT's indictment and going to face the charges directly, unlike many other personalities who had participated in the massacre of millions of Cambodian people and shamelessly deny their involvements or responsibilities.

I want to know when Viet Cong helped KHmer Rouge to fight the US and Lon Nol inside Cambodia, WHEN DID THE VIET CONG LEAVE? Or did they stay inside with Pol Pot just the same as they are staying with Hun Sen? There are many in Rattanakiri and Kg Thom claimed to see many thousand Vietnamese entered into Cambodia during Khmer Rouge regime.
I don't have a doubt that this elderly Nuon Chea did kill but when did the Viet Cong leave Cambodia after the Viet Cong helped KR?
The Vietcong had filtrated the Khmer Rouge regime just like the HunSen regime because they are all idiots. They think that they are always better than other Khmers, but they are better than the Vietcong.
What happen during the Khmer Rouge or the Khmer Vietminh in 1970 to 1975 is the carbon copy of what is happening today to AH HUN SEN regime!
The Vietcong never left Cambodia since day one and they have great influence over Cambodian officials just like they do in AH HUN SEN government! The Vietcong always described their relationship with Cambodian government as brotherly love.
Yeh...There were so much love and the Vietcong forced all these stupid Cambodian officials(Khmer Vietminh or Khmer Rouge) to take all the blame with them to the grave!
